Hi there, I’m Madeline!

I am so excited to introduce myself to you as a birthworker and childcare specialist in the NYC community.

A born and bred Virginian and an empath by nature, I come from a large family and have always enjoyed being around children and babies. My mother loved being pregnant, but to me, childbirth and postpartum seemed like the big unknown, full of anxiety and worry. So many young women I know have shared their birth stories, miscarriages, feminine health issues, etc., and I’m shocked by the poor care (or lack thereof) they received. I knew what I needed to do to help those in my community. This was my call to doula work.

As your doula, I will strive to create the personalized care you need during the postpartum transition. My goal is to provide you and your family with the most up-to-date evidence based information regarding newborn care, breastfeeding support, proper nutrition, and more. I firmly believe every birthing person is strong and capable in caring for their newborn.

This is a hugely transformative time in person’s life, and I’m here to honor that. So, let’s do this! Together.

I’ve also been a nanny for 5+ years, with a passion for child development. I worked as an assistant preschool teacher for children ages 2-5 years old. I’m planning on pursuing a Masters degree in child psychology within the next few years.
